Jason Sipe has been drawing and painting
since he was a child. Always fascinated with art, he stood
out as a promising pupil in high school, and
entered the school of art at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
While at Kutztown, he absorbed as much as he
could from the school's distinguished professors. One
professor, Matthew Daub, inspired the budding artist to
continually set the bar higher, and to never become complacent in
his talents.
Upon moving to Oregon in 1996, Jason
entered an area of the U.S. known for its scenic beauty and rugged history, and endeavored to
chronicle this new part of his life through his art. Since
then, he has striven to achieve a better grasp of several new
mediums, including: pastel, airbrush, sculpture, photography and stained glass.
He also designs theater sets.
He
has worked diligently to provide quality, commissioned
work, and plans to open a studio/gallery in
the coming years. Currently, Jason Sipe resides in Portland,
Oregon, and hopes to pass on his love and knowledge of
art to his sons and his high school students.
